ABP has grown into an international business but we never forget our roots. Find out where we’re coming from, as a business and as people.
ABP’s vision is simple. To be the best at everything we do. Being a market leader comes with responsibilities. You also have to lead on quality, traceability and sustainability.
It’s our responsibility as leaders in the market to show the way, and encourage our entire industry to follow a sustainable path.
This is ABP’s Advantage Beef Programme, a dynamic new enterprise partnership that helps farmers build a sustainable beef business.
Our business is built on people, and some are fresh out of school or college. Some want to move from another sector entirely. All are curious and willing to learn. If that sounds like you, check out our Early Careers Programme, which offers pathways into a job at ABP. Read on to find the one that suits you.
The ABP graduate programme is a professional, structured course that mixes on-the-job training, practical experience and further professional qualifications, to prepare you for a junior management role in the food industry.
The graduate programme is geared towards jobs in many aspects of our business, from finance to procurement, human resources to engineering, and the one you choose depends on your interests and career goals. Our grad programme accepts undergraduates and postgraduates from many different academic backgrounds. We choose graduates based on their potential to benefit from the programme. If you speak more than one language, have experienced or visited other cultures, or have recently held a position of responsibility, we would love you to get in touch.
Graduate schemes are available in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Procurement, IT, Health & Safety, Environmental, Production Management, Agriculture, Sales & Marketing and Human Resources.
You don’t need a college qualification to join us as an Operations Trainee, as all your training is provided on the job. You get a 360° view of the business as you observe other departments at work. As you develop your skills you work towards becoming a production manager or a supervisor on-site.
Our apprenticeships are a great way to kickstart your career, with or without a college qualification. There’s no one-size-fits-all, so your training plan is tailored to your own ambition and interests. You get useful knowledge and skills through both on-the-job training and college placements, and we team you up with a mentor to learn the entire business from the ground up. It’s all good.
Apprenticeships are available in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in conjunction with SOLAS
